Paul Damon paints landscapes in oil. He is a self-taught
artist who discovered painting while teaching landscape architectural
drafting and design at the University of Minnesota. Damon has exhibited
in many venues and galleries across the Twin Cities metro area.
The Art Sale will include paintings of various sizes and price ranges.
Featured will be several new oil-on-panel paintings of state parks
and the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge.
Outside will be tours of an award-winning native
plant garden designed and installed by Damon and his wife, Susan.
The garden was designed to attract birds, butterflies, and pollinating
insects. It is certified by Monarch Watch as a Monarch Waystation
for providing so many host and nectar plants for Monarch Butterflies.
The garden is also featured in a book published in 2007, Birdscaping
in the Midwest by Mariette Nowak, which contains a wealth
of information about using native plants to attract birds to residential
gardens.
